This June, Andy was interviewed by the popular TV presenter Bradley Walsh for his new upcoming Out of this World series on the Sky History channel …
In the series, Bradley investigates unexplained global mysteries, and he and Andy spent a morning having genuinely interesting conversations about crop circles and related matters in Wiltshire, the circle heartlands.
Bradley was engaging and friendly and clearly shares real interests in his subjects. How much of the exchange will survive into the final edit remains to be seen, naturally, but it’s good to see mainstream TV taking an interest in the circles again.
There is, of course, a controversial element to the series, in that Sky commissioned a man-made circle for the programme it turns out, an old trope and something that Andy had no part in and was not invited to comment on, but he managed to balance that side of things with some facts and figures to demonstrate that arguments over the origins for this ever-elusive phenomenon are far from settled.
